If anyone still doubted that farming is at the mercy of the weather, the last few months have certainly reminded us! After years of wishing for more sun, it seems we may have been a little too successful. The prolonged spell of hot, dry weather has left grazing scarce, grass growth slowing and water supplies becoming an increasing concern. As always, farming has proved that no two seasons are ever the same.
