We are seeking a motivated bookkeeper to join our independent farm veterinary practice. We are a small, dedicated team that prides itself on providing an efficient and friendly service to our local farming community.
Our ideal candidate is a hardworking, self-motivated individual with experience inMicrosoft Office and Xero. We are looking for someone who is AAT qualified, seeking that qualification, or possesses significant experience. The successful candidate should be able to work independently within the finance aspect of the role while being supported and must be comfortable liaising with the company’s accountants.
They should be confident in learning new software packages and able to develop a strong understanding of our specialised veterinary practice software. While an understanding of agriculture, livestock, or the veterinary industry is helpful, it is not essential.
We are looking for someone who is approachable, enthusiastic, and diligent, with a genuine enjoyment for working as part of a team.
Main Duties:
- Processing financial transactions
- Managing the purchase ledger (accounts payable)
- Bank reconciliation and payment processing
- Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting procedures
- Payroll processing
- Supporting the team with daily administrative tasks
- Assisting with reception duties if needed
- Filing and stationery ordering

This is a part time role with flexible hours which can be tailored to the right candidate.
